“It was the first time I could talk about my family”INDEPENDENT LIVING YOUTH

Training

At Family Design Resources we believe training is essential to create and support children’s well-being.

FDR trainers are content experts who also understand adult learning styles and communication. Our trainings will show your staff how to implement the current best practice strategies and practice tools, will share with you the newest research and guide you in how to use these skills. FDR works diligently to assure the desired goals of training are achieved.

Training topics include:

Child Welfare

Our permanency programs for public and private agencies ensure best practices are provided to children, youth and families.

Private/Public partnerships

Our experience will show you how to build relationships and create collaborative agreements, to further:

  • Change management
  • System oversight
  • Standards and achievable benchmarks
  • Resource maximization

Family functioning

Family functioning addresses themes that impact families who either are preparing to or who currently provide permanency to a child from the child welfare system. Includes disruption and dissolution concepts and practices.

Diversity and Shared Leadership

Diversity and shared leadership programs will help your agency embrace differences and empower system change.
