Trainer biographies

Deborah Wilson Gadsden, M.H.S., M.S.W., L.S.W.

Deborah Wilson Gadsden is employed by Family Design Resources, Inc. as a Training Specialist where she develops, delivers and monitors training for the organization. She holds a MA in Human Services from Lincoln University, a MSW from Temple University, and she is a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania. She is also an Adjunct Professor for Elizabethtown College, Temple University Harrisburg, and Millersville University in their Social Work Departments where she delivers content in human behavior and child welfare. Ms. Gadsden is a trainer for the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Training Program and is a certified Olweus Bullying Prevention Program trainer.

Kristi D. Loyal, M.S. Ed

Mrs. Loyal has worked as a School Counselor for the past nine years serving students and parents in grades K-12 in the Franklin Regional School District. As a counselor, Mrs. Loyal is responsible for helping students overcome barriers to learning. Through individual counseling, classroom guidance, and small group work, Mrs. Loyal has designed and facilitated a variety of activities addressing problem solving, conflict resolution and bystander behavior.

Prior to her role as a School Counselor, Mrs. Loyal worked in the mental health field as a TSS, BSC and Mobile Therapist and as a Case Manager/Assistant Supervisor for a non-profit foster care agency. In her role as Case Manager/Assistant Supervisor, Mrs. Loyal trained foster parents on a variety of topics, supported natural parents through a reunification program and assisted teenagers in the development of independent living plans. Mrs. Loyal has been extensively trained in the Reality Therapy/Choice Theory model and has utilized this approach in both the school and foster care system.

In addition, Mrs. Loyal currently serves on an Olweus Coordinating Committee and has an opportunity to run classroom meetings and implement the program on a daily basis. She has trained/consulted in urban, suburban, and rural school districts.
