PS-R™ Trainers and Facilitators

Registration open for Training of Leaders and Training of Facilitators

Registration is now open for the October 2018 Training of Leaders and Fall 2018 regional Training of Facilitators.  Leader and facilitator qualifications and requirements are detailed below.  For event dates, check the event calendar.

Training of Leaders (TOL) and Facilitators (TOF)

Family Design Resource seeks to establish a Pennsylvania network of PS-R™ program leaders and facilitators. 

PS-R™ Leader Qualifications and Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or related field 
  • Minimum two years direct service working with child and families in child welfare
  • Comfortable talking about and presenting on human sexuality
  • Completed Pennsylvania's mandated reporter of child abuse training
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Requirements:

  • Attend and successfully complete the entire four-day PS-R™ leader training in October 2018
  • Provide three external (outside own agency) PS-R™ trainings in the first year following completion of leader training
  • Willing to be observed when providing facilitator training
  • Fulfill all requirements of PS-R™ leader, including follow up with facilitator training participants as needed and submission of requested paperwork and outcomes surveys

Note:  Leaders must complete a re-certification program every three years to maintain certification.

PS-R™ Facilitator Qualifications and Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or related field 
  • Minimum two years direct service working with child and families in child welfare
  • Comfortable talking about and presenting on human sexuality
  • Completed Pennsylvania's mandated reporter of child abuse training

Requirements:

  • Attend and successfully complete the entire three-day PS-R™ facilitator training
  • Willing to be observed on occasion while providing program facilitation
  • Fulfill all requirements of PS-R™ facilitator, including follow up with facilitator training participants as needed and submission of requested paperwork and outcomes surveys

Note:  Facilitators must complete a re-certification program every three years to maintain certification.
