Diversity Conference Postponed

Family Design Resources, along with Three Rivers Adoption Council, announced today that the co-sponsored conference "Diversity - It's more than Black and White," scheduled for November 5 and 6, would be postponed due to Pennsylvania's budget impasse. More information on a rescheduled date will be shared once the state budget is resolved.
"The specific professionals who would have benefitted most from the conference are some of those most negatively impacted by the budget impasse," said Fawn Davies, Program Manager for Family Design Resources. "Organizations are focused on how to continue providing services and meeting their payroll. Training, while important, is not the current priority."
The conference was primarily intended for social workers, educators, mental and medical health professionals, the juvenile justice system, resource families and anyone interested in diversity issues.
