A Valentine's Note to our Adopted Child

Dear C -
Permanency to us means that you are with us forever and that we are with you forever. We are always going to be here for you. You are so much a part of our family that we don't even think about the fact that we're not your biological parents.
It's been over ten years now since we first met you and became a family. You reached out to hug us as if to say "Where have you guys been?" Well, we have been a team ever since, and it has been a wonderful time together.
Happy Valentine's Day, honey. We are so thankful we are together.
